• 9:30 AM – Hike through the Baiso Badlands. Start your day with a hike through the striking badlands surrounding the village. These geological formations create unique scenery and are a paradise for trekking and photography enthusiasts. Well-marked trails allow you to immerse yourself in unspoiled nature and enjoy breathtaking views of the entire valley.
• 11:30 AM – Visit to Baiso Castle. Continue into the town center to admire Baiso Castle, a historic fortress perched on a sandstone hill north of the village. Although privately owned and not open to the public, the exterior offers meaningful insights into local history and serves as a privileged panoramic point over the Tresinaro Valley.
• 1:00 PM – Lunch at Agriturismo La Borgaccia. Take a well-deserved break with a meal at Agriturismo La Borgaccia, located near Baiso. This agriturismo offers traditional Emilian cuisine, featuring dishes made with local and seasonal ingredients. The welcoming atmosphere and focus on quality make La Borgaccia the perfect spot to enjoy the area's specialties.
• 3:00 PM – Visit to Big Bench #93. After lunch, head to Big Bench #93, located at the top of La Balota hill. This orange bench is part of the Big Bench Community Project and offers spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. To reach it, follow CAI Trail 632 from Via Castello in Baiso’s center—a scenic walk of about 25 minutes.
• 4:30 PM – Explore the Village of Baiso. Conclude your day with a stroll through Baiso’s historic center. Admire the Church of San Lorenzo, dating back to the 12th century, and experience local traditions as you wander through the village’s streets. If time allows, visit the Torre di Debbia, another historical landmark of the region.
