November 26, 2024 – from this date new chapter begins in the development of Polish Cittaslow Towns. Territorial agreement was signed with the authorities of Warmia-Masuria Region. As part of the 2021-2027 European Funds for Warmia and Mazury Program, a number of priority projects (58) will be implemented in 20 towns. These projects have been included in the document "Cities of good life 2030” under a common title – “There’s no GOOD LIFE without CLEAN AIR”.
EUR 52 356 221,00 from the European Regional Development Fund and EUR 2 646 386,00 from the state budget were allocated to support their implementation in the years 2025-2027. The projects aim to improve the air quality in Cittaslow towns by reducing traffic emissions, heating energy consumption (thermal modernization) and increasing the production of energy from renewable sources (photovoltaic installations).
